Michigan State Football Assault - 2:58 p.m. PT – Michigan State announced it will suspend four more players for their role in the postgame melee.

Malcolm Jones, Jacoby Windmon, Justin White and Brandon Wright have all been banned indefinitely, the program said in a statement Tuesday.

11:58 PT -- Gemon Green -- another Michigan player who was attacked in the tunnel after the game -- has become a lawyer... and his lawyer, Tom Mars, says he suffered a concussion and other injuries as result of the conflict.

"There should be severe consequences for this type of infraction," Mars said in a statement to Sports Illustrated.

"I have news for the MSU players who did this to Gemon. They will taste the full punishment of the law."

09:38 PT -- Jim Harbaugh discussed the incident again with reporters on Monday... calling the whole thing "sickening" -- and told members of the media that he "can't imagine it won't result in charges criminal."

Meanwhile, police said Monday in a statement to Sports that they had no new update on the investigation.

Four Michigan State football players have been suspended for their role in a disturbing postgame brawl with a Michigan player... and now, police say they're investigating all of them.

Several Spartans were seen attacking Wolverines defender Ja'Den McBurrows in the tunnel at Michigan Stadium following a 29-7 loss - pushing, kicking and punching the man before finally being ushered into his team's locker room.

The scene was horrific, the Michigan player looking helpless - as MSU athletes charged him for seconds.

After reviewing everything, MSU coach Mel Tucker announced Sunday that four of his players were involved in foul play -- cornerback Khary Crump, quarterback Tank Brown, defender Zion Young and safety Angelo Grose -- has been suspended indefinitely.

He said more penalties could also be imposed... especially after another MSU player was seen in more videos appearing to attack another Michigan player postgame.

The University of Michigan Police Department said in a statement late Saturday that it is also launching an investigation into the matter.

As for the Wolverines, head coach Jim Harbaugh said after the game that he believed two of his players were "assaulted" - and he urged authorities and officials to thoroughly investigate everything.

Michigan plays at Rutgers next Saturday. MSU, meanwhile, will take on No. 1 ranking. 17 Illinois on Saturday as well.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Seven Michigan State football players have been charged in a postgame melee in the Michigan Stadium tunnel last month, according to a statement Wednesday from the Washtenaw County District Attorney's Office.

The most serious case is against Khary Crump, who faces felony assault charges. The charges against six other people are misdemeanors; five with compounded assault and one with assault and battery.

The incident occurred on October 29 when members of the Michigan State football team beat two Michigan players.

"At the University of Michigan, we appreciate the thoughtful and deliberate approach of the Washtenaw County District Attorney's Office to this unfortunate incident," Michigan president Santa J. Ono said in a statement. “We also want to express our concern for all the players involved, especially the injured. The University of Michigan will continue to cooperate fully with any further investigations into this matter."

Michigan State coach Mel Tucker suspended eight players—including Malcolm Jones, who has not been charged with a crime—for their role in the fight.

Harbaugh said defensive back Gemon Green was punched by a Spartan player, sparking an altercation shortly after the Wolverines defeated their in-state rivals, and teammate Ja'Den McBurrows was attacked when he tried to help.

Green suffered a concussion, which kept him out for one game before returning to action in Michigan's 34-3 win over Nebraska.

Michigan increased the security presence in and around the tunnel and prevented Wolverine from entering it until every Nebraska player left the court in the first half and entered the game.
